The following steps should be used to update to ESC version 15.15.0.
Upgrade ESC to Version 15.15.0
First, we want to capture a backup of our ESC database from our server computer.
1. Have all users log out of ESC.
- Note: Verify all users have logged out of ESC go to Help > About > Current Users.
2. On the server, open Windows Explorer and navigate to the C: drive.
3. Select the New Folder option, and create a folder called ESC1515.
- Note: This is where the backup will be stored.
4. Logon to ESC using the ADMIN account and go to File > Backup Your Data.
5. Next, type C:\ESC1515 then click Backup.
This can take anywhere from a couple of seconds to a few hours depending on the size of your database.
1. Have all users log out of ESC.
- Note: Verify all users have logged out of ESC go to Help > About > Current Users.
2. Uninstall your current version of ESC.
3. Download and install the new client on the server.
4. Log back into ESC as an Admin to convert the database.
This can take anywhere from a couple of seconds to a few hours depending on the size of your database.
1. On the server computer, in the lower-right corner of your window's desktop, look for the ESC Connections Server icon.
2. Right-click the ESC Connections Server icon and select Exit.
3. Then, click here for the Connections Server Download and then install.
4. When finished installing, the ESC Connections Server will appear in your Windows start menu. Click the ESC Connections Server Administrator, in the start menu, to finish this process.
1. Uninstall ESC from each workstation.
2. Download and install the new client on each workstation.
