Printing barcodes from ESC can be done from the Purchase Order screen and from the Receive Items screen, so that items can be labeled as they are received into your warehouses. But sometimes, you need to print a few extras or print them on the fly. That's where the Print Barcode Labels screen comes into play.
- To print certain labels for your items, you'll go to Inventory → Print Barcode Labels.
- When the screen appears, select the item - or items - you wish to print. You can choose your items by clicking the drop-down arrow next to each line, or by typing in the Part Number.
- Next, enter the Quantity of labels you need printed for this item.
- Click the Print button.
- In the Print Labels box, select a pre-configured label from the Label Name drop-down menu, or select the Configure labels button to configure a new label. (You can import all Avery labels into ESC by visiting How to add Avery Labels into ESC.)
- Next, enter the Number of labels on first sheet. If you have a sheet of labels on which some labels have already been used, this will tell ESC how many labels are left on that sheet so that it knows where to begin printing.
- You may then select between QR Codes and Barcodes for your labels.
- When you're ready to print your labels, click the Begin Printing button.
Printing Labels from the Receive Items screen
If you wish to print labels for items as they are being received into your warehouses, you can do so right from the Receive Items screen.
- Once the items are filled into the Receive Items screen, click the Barcodes button on the toolbar and select Print.
- In the Print Labels box, select a pre-configured label from the Label Name drop-down menu, or select the Configure labels button to configure a new label.
Print Labels from the Purchase Order screen
It is also possible to print Barcode labels right from a Purchase Order. This can be beneficial if you need to print them before the items are received or if after they are received.
- Open the Purchase Order for which you wish to print labels.
- Click the Barcodes button on the toolbar and select Print.
- In the Print Labels box, select a pre-configured label from the Label Name drop-down menu, or select the Configure labels button to configure a new label.
