An error occurs when synchronizing the chart of accounts in the QuickBooks Connection Wizard

Description of Error:

When going through the QuickBooks Connection Wizard the following error appears during the matching of the chart of accounts:

The following error occurred while attempting to build the full name of an account: Out of stack space There may be a sub-account that is the same name as a top-level account.

Cause of Error:

A sub-account in QuickBooks has the same name as the parent account. The number of the account (if used) may be different, but QuickBooks does not pass that information to ESC.

Resolution:

Find one of the accounts and change the name of it. Move the error aside and the QuickBooks Wizard will show you the account it got hung up on in the background.
