Error removing old payments

Description of Error:

When attempting to edit and then save a previously saved invoice, the following error occurs:

Error removing old payments: Error voiding the payment transaction: Journal Update Transaction: The journal entry specified cannot be edited. The transaction has been cleared in the register.

Cause of Error:

Once a payment has been tendered on an invoice and that payment deposited, the invoice will then become locked. Attempting to edit the invoice will generate this error when you click Save.

Resolution:

Remove the deposit related to the payment for this invoice. Then edit the invoice, save and repost the deposit.
