The most common form of email formatting is called ‘HTML’, which is a language used for building websites. This is what makes our email look nice and pretty, rather than plain text. ESC uses the HTML format for your email templates so that they will look nicer to your customers. However, when you hit the Enter key, HTML interprets this as starting a new paragraph and will add additional spaces between lines of text.
The Fix
Much like any other HTML editor you can tell ESC to insert a break in the document instead of a paragraph. Breaks are added by pressing Shift+Enter at the same time. Paragraphs are added by simply pressing Enter. Set up your templates and format your letters this way to ensure they are sent the way you want them.
