If the ESC Accounting Server is not connecting to QuickBooks or receiving an error regarding the user profile assigned to the ESC Accounting server please preform the following steps:
- Pause the ESC Accounting Server
- Log all users out of Quickbooks then log in as the Admin user
- Select File | Switch to Single user Mode
- Once in single user mode Go to Company | Users | Set Up Users and Roles…
- In the Users and Roles window select the ESC User profile then click “Edit…”
- Change and Update the Password for the ESC User then click “OK”
- Go to Edit | Preferences…
- On the left side of the window select “Integrated Applications” then select ESC from the list and click “Remove”
- Now that ESC has been removed from the list open the ESC Accounting Server and Click retrieve
- The QuickBooks –Application Certificate will appear. Make sure you select the check box next to “Yes, always; allow access even if QuickBooks is not running”. “Login as:” should be set to the ESC user, and the “Allow this application to access personal data such as Social Security Numbers and customer credit card information” is checked. Then click “Continue”
- A Access Confirmation window will open click “Done”
- Go to File | Switch to Multi-user Mode
- Within the ESC Accounting Server click the “Play button”
- Once the Status changed to Connected and has a Green light you have successfully reconnected the ESC Accounting Server to QuickBooks.
